Sikar: District level workshop organised under Good Governance Week

Sikar, Rajasthan – As part of Good Governance Week, a district-level workshop was held in the Collectorate auditorium on Tuesday, chaired by retired Indian Administrative Service officer Purushottam Biyani. During the workshop, necessary measures to establish good governance in the district were discussed, including the Vision Document 2047 to be prepared by the departments.

At the workshop, retired Indian Administrative Service officer Purushottam Biyani told all district-level officers that to establish good governance in the district, they must be well-versed in their duties and deliver services in a manner that resolves problems. He emphasized the need for transparency, accountability, participation by public servants, natural work, impartiality, and leadership skills to engage stakeholders. He said that only then can good governance be established.

District Collector Mukul Sharma urged officers not to be biased toward any task, to avoid ego, and to listen to and resolve the problems of the public. Maintain a good attitude towards the public and respond promptly to their problems.

Retired administrative officer Ishwar Singh Rathore stated that the administration should continuously innovate and develop a leadership spirit that is devoid of ego, while taking public sentiment into account.

Assistant Director of Administrative Reforms, Indira Sharma, stated that during Good Governance Week, from December 19th to 25th, 2025, under the “Administration to Villages” campaign, public problems are being resolved by organizing camps at all land records offices. During this period, she discussed the district’s Vision Document 2047 in detail with all departments.

Additional District Collector Ratan Kumar Swami, Joint Director Satyanarayan Chauhan, Assistant Director of Public Relations Puranmal, District Education Officer Surendra Singh Shekhawat, General Manager of the District Industries Center Vikas Sihag, DPM Rajivika Archana Maurya, and district-level officials from the relevant departments were present on the occasion.
