Karauli, Rajasthan – On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister, Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a district-level Good Governance Day program was organized in the VC Room of DoIT on Thursday. The state-level program was also broadcast live on this occasion.
At the state-level program, Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma administered the oath of good governance by paying floral tribute to the statue of Bharat Ratna, Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the Government Secretariat, Jaipur in the morning.
Chief Minister Shri Sharma, while paying homage to Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, said that he was an astute politician, a sharp orator, and a visionary leader. Under his leadership, the country presented exemplary examples of good governance. Important programs like the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and the Golden Quadrilateral Road Project provided new direction and momentum to the country’s development.
Respected Atal ji’s model of good governance continues to be a guiding light for all of us even today.
District Collector Neelabh Saxena, Chief Executive Officer Shivcharan Meena, Additional District Collector Hemraj Paridwal, along with other dignitaries, paid tribute to Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the district-level program. The program was formally inaugurated by laying a wreath before the statue of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
During the program, guests expressed their views on the principles of good governance of the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, paid emotional tributes to him, and administered the Good Governance Pledge.
District Collector Neelabh Saxena, in his address, stated that Good Governance Week has been observed since last week to mark the completion of two years of the state government and Good Governance Day.
Its primary objective is to ensure that public matters are executed in a more simple, transparent, and sensitive manner. Administrative behavior toward citizens should always be cordial and responsible.
Similarly, Good Governance Day was celebrated in all district and block-level offices, and a heartfelt floral tribute to the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee was offered and the Good Governance Pledge was administered.
DFO Sumit Bansal, Piyush Sharma, Assistant Director of the Information and Public Relations Office Dharmendra Kumar Meena, and other district-level officers and employees were present on this occasion.
