Karauli, Rajasthan – Ganesh Sharma, General Manager of the District Industries and Commerce Center, stated that a meeting of the district-level litigation and complaint mechanism was held under the chairmanship of District Collector Neelabh Saxena to expedite the resolution of industrial problems. Representatives of industrial associations addressed issues raised by officials from the relevant departments.
General Manager Ganesh Sharma stated that the meeting discussed issues such as removing encroachments in the RIICO industrial area in Hindaun City, establishing dumping yards in Hindaun and Karauli, reducing service charges in industrial areas, developing infrastructure in RIICO areas, and royalty disputes.
Committee Chairman District Collector Neelabh Saxena directed the establishment of a joint checkpoint to verify royalties on sandstone, the raw material for industrial units, and allocating vacant land for dumping yards and cart blacksmiths.
He also directed the holding of a special camp in January for units operating without environmental clearance.
Deputy Forest Conservator Sumit Bansal, Chief Executive Officer Shivcharan Meena, Senior Regional Manager G.S. Meena, Mineral Engineer Dharam Singh Meena, Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations Department Dharmendra Meena, President of Industry Board Dilip Gupta, Gopal Sharma of District Industry Association, President of Karauli Industrial Committee Banbari Lal Sharma and Krishna Kant Bansal were present in the meeting.
A quarterly review meeting was held on cases registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
Karauli – Ashish Bansal, Assistant Director of the District Child Protection Unit and Child Rights Department, stated that the District Child Protection Unit, constituted under the Mission Vatsalya Scheme and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000, as amended in 2015, organized a quarterly meeting in the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of District Collector Neelabh Saxena to review cases registered under the “Ek Yudh Ke Viruddh” Joint Action Plan and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
At the meeting, the Member Secretary conducted a detailed review of the status of children residing in government and non-government child care institutions, department-run schemes, and Child Line 1098-related cases. The availability of resources for the education, recreation, and sports facilities for children residing in government child care institutions, including the establishment of open gyms, was also discussed.
The Assistant Director, while providing information about the Foster Care and Group Foster Care schemes, explained that orphaned, neglected, or children in need of family care and protection admitted to child care institutions are assigned to prospective foster parents willing to care for them in an alternative family.
Eligibility criteria include prospective foster parents being residents of Rajasthan for at least two years, having a two-year permanent marital relationship, being income tax payers, a minimum age of 35 and a maximum age of 65, and being physically and mentally healthy.
Eligible foster parents with an annual income of less than ₹8 lakh are provided a monthly support of ₹4,000 per child as a foster care and care allowance.
