Jaisalmer, Rajasthan – On the instructions of ACB Headquarters, ACB Chowki Jodhpur City took action today and arrested Shri Bhavani Shankar Swami, Section Officer, Office of Senior Manager, RIICO, Jaisalmer, red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 30,000.
Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General of Police, Shri Govind Gupta informed that Jodhpur City Unit of ACB received a complaint that Shri Bhavani Shankar Swami, Section Officer, Office of Senior Manager, RIICO, Jaisalmer had cancelled the plot in Kishanghat Industrial Area in the name of the complainant’s sister-in-law in the year 2024, on which the plot was reinstated by RIICO Jaisalmer on the appeal of the complainant.
He is now harassing the complainant by demanding a bribe of Rs. 30,000 in lieu of starting the work on the said plot and getting the documents online in the file. On which, under the supervision of Mr. Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav, Deputy Inspector General of Police, ACB Jodhpur, under the leadership of Mr. Om Prakash Chaudhary, Additional Superintendent of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Jodhpur City, Mr. Kishan Singh Charan, Deputy Superintendent of Police along with the force, while conducting trap operation, Mr. Bhavani Shankar Swami, Section Officer, was arrested red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 30,000.
Under the supervision of Mrs. Smita Srivastava, Additional Director General of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Rajasthan, Jaipur, the interrogation and proceedings of the accused are going on. ACB will register a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act in the matter and investigate it.
