Bundi, Rajasthan – A meeting of the District Water and Sanitation Mission, under the Jal Jeevan Mission, was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of District Collector Akshay Godara. In the meeting, the District Collector reviewed the status of tap connections to every household and issued necessary instructions to the officials.
He said that the progress of works being carried out under the Janta Jal Yojana should be accelerated. The concerned departments should resolve the obstacles related to the Forest Department through mutual coordination and complete the works expeditiously so that the general public can get the facilities.
He directed that the concerned departmental officers should work in better coordination with the concerned departmental officials on the drinking water facilities being operated under the Jal Jeevan Mission so that there are no difficulties in completing them.
He also directed that all works should be completed within the stipulated time frame.He reviewed approved water schemes, the physical and financial progress of major projects, providing tap connections to schools, Anganwadi centres and health centres, and enrolling tap water friends, and issued necessary guidelines to officials.
Officials from various departments, including Sunil Kumar Sharma, Superintending Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department, were present at the meeting.
