Rajsamand, Rajasthan – On December 23rd, a state-level farmers’ conference was held in Merta City, Nagaur district, to mark the completion of two years of the state government’s tenure as Kisan Diwas. Following the district administration’s instructions, a one-day district-level farmers’ conference was held at Bhikshu Nilayam, chaired by District Collector Arun Kumar Hasija.
District Council CEO Brijmohan Bairwa, Agriculture Department officials and employees, and a large number of farmers were also present.
During the conference, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, and Agriculture Minister Kirodi Lal Meena virtually transferred approximately ₹200 crore directly into farmers’ accounts through DBT under various Agriculture Department schemes.
This included schemes for farm ponds, pipelines, Govardhan organic farming, fountains, and other projects. The event was livestreamed to farmers via LED screens.District Collector Arun Hasija, Chief Executive Officer of Zila Parishad Brijmohan Bairwa, Joint Director of Agriculture Department Bhupendra Singh Rathore, Deputy Director Horticulture, Deputy Director Agriculture ATMA, Incharge Krishi Vigyan Kendra Rajsamand, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Department and Joint Director Animal Husbandry Department along with district level officers and employees of various departments were present in the program from the district administration.
Around 350 farmers from various Gram Panchayats of the district participated in the Kisan Sammelan and took advantage of the live broadcast through LED.
